I'll admit, fixed term contracts aren't for everyone. About the company
The business are a large distribution company, whose offices are situated in an ideal location, and are well equipped with all the mod cons and amenities needed to promote a healthy and productive work environment. If you like your fitness and health, then there's an onsite gym you can slip into during break to pump iron or hit the treadmill. Or, if you see yourself more a coffee addict than a health nut, then there's a cafeteria that serves Starbucks, cake and a range of lunches all at subsidised prices.
The Job
As a credit risk analyst, you'll be working within a team of 3 other administrators whose purpose is to vet and credit check potential new business customers. The key to this role is to have good decision making abilities; as you'll be required to balance the risk of providing credit, which could be written off if not paid back, up against the potential growth that new sales opportunities offer the business. Good intuition for weighing up risk vs reward is a must have skill.
You
If you have come from a credit risk background - then that's great, as your experiences will match up with minimal need for training and development. However, don't be put off if you're looking over your CV and it doesn't look like a carbon copy of the job brief. My client understands this is a specialist role that may require training to find right person. Attitude and fitting in with the existing team are the key indicators that will be assessed, and they are happy to look at a broad range of skills and experiences that could be transferable to the needs of the position.
Ideally you will have a methodological and process driven attitude towards your work. If you have come from a heavily administrative background, that has required meticulous organisation and planning - then you'd be an excellent candidate to consider as a developmental option.
