A leading bank is seeking a Qualified Accountant with strong analytical and creative problem solving skills to give meaning to the overall Business Performance.

The purpose of this role is to support the Performance Management team in working closely with the Group's businesses to provide insight and establish expectations around their future and in-year performance, and then holding them accountable for subsequent delivery of that performance



Responsibilities:

· Support the Group In-year forecasting and analysis processes

· Creating and communicating guidance, process and timing for the Quarterly Executive Dialogues in order to ensure focused and informative in-year performance reviews

· Relationship Manager for designated business

· Be the Cost analysis 'expert' for PM and provide support to HR on setting reward targets for senior leaders

· Contribute to the introduction of new tools, techniques or best practices for the measurement and management of performance

Requirements:

Essential

· Financial planning and analysis or audit experience with financial services preferred

· Good understanding of financial accountancy

· Comfortable working with systems/ data, e.g. use of Hyperion, Oracle, SAP

· Strong database (Hyperion Planning / Essbase preferred) and excellent Excel skills

· Skilled in the use of data analysis and presentation software tools

· Qualified accountant

· Strong business/financial management and analysis skills

· Very strong communication/relationship management skills

· Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills

Preferred

· Financial modelling and analysis expertise

· Big 4/Management Consultancy background

· Understanding of the Financial Services sector

· Knowledge of performance management and VBM/balanced scorecard techniques
