A FTSE listed organisation are looking for an Internal Auditor for their division in the North due to a promotion within the team. The main purpose of the role is to provide assurance and appropriate advice to the wider business in order to improve performance and identify risk.
Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit and working as part of a team, you will work with Managers around the business in a dynamic and forward thinking manner in order to solve governance, risk and control issues.
The organisation is currently embarking on a system transformation so if you have any previous system implementation experience that would be advantageous.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Planning and conducting audits including coordinating logistics, preparing audit planning documents and liaising with Managers around the business
- Proactively manage workload and deliver improvements
- Identify opportunities for businesses to enhance their current activity with best practice
- Complete audit working papers in conjunction with the company's procedures
- Reporting and presenting audit findings in order to recommend plan of action to Managers around the business
- Monitor the change in accordance with your findings to confirm actions have been implemented correctly and effectively
- Perform ad-hoc project work as required
In order to be considered you will:
- Be fully ACA/ACCA qualified and have previous experience in either Internal or External Audit
- Have previous experience from a Big 4 accountancy firm would be desirable (but not essential)
- Have strong communication, planning and organisational skills with great attention to detail
- Be IT literate with previous experience of auditing ERP environments
