Senior Credit Controller - Leatherhead

Marks Sattin's Surrey Office are happy to be supporting a well-established care services organisation based in Leatherhead, Surrey to find an experienced Credit Controller. This position has arisen due to continued team growth, you will report directly to the Credit Manager.

The Duties:

• Assists Credit / Billing Manager in updating and reviewing the Daily Cash Forecast
• Ability to reconcile complex accounts.
• Over the course of each month, contact the local authorities and private payer concerning their outstanding debts, and seeks payment thereof. Documents all conversations or letters as appropriate. In doing so, develops working relationships with all major clients.
• Takes part in a weekly review of debtors; recommending actions to be taken on all debtors as appropriate. More complicated debtors may be referred onto the line manager.
• Ensures that debtor day targets are met within the areas of responsibilities.
• Identifies collection problems at the earliest opportunity
• Manages the contact database to ensure it remains up to date.
• Cash allocation
• Ad hoc duties as and when required to support Credit Manager.

The Candidate:

• Previous experience of working within a credit control role of at least 3 years
• The drive to develop in your next role and settle long term
• Exceptional communicator across all levels both internally and externally
• Previous experience of negotiating repayment of aged debt - liaising with the partner, fee earner internally and assessing repayment
• Great working knowledge of MS Office, especially MS Excel
