Role: Financial Controller / Head of Finance / Business Partner / Senior Manager

Location: Birmingham City Centre

Sector: Medium Sized Practice

Salary: up to £60k

Our client, at Marks Sattin, are looking for an impressive candidate with a Practice background to help oversee the company, its finances and help drum up new business for the company. This will suit someone who is a Senior Manager / Manager at their current Practice with focus on Payroll / Tax and with no scope for progression at their current employers. This role is offering a great salary and scope to be involved with the day to day running of the business and become an important part of what they are trying to achieve in the future!

A core part of this company's revenue is Payroll and Tax advice so would be highly competent in these areas.

Competencies of the role

  • Ability to manage a team and oversee 40 staff to point the company in the right, forward direction
  • Have up-to-date knowledge around VAT and all the schemes available and recent changes in legislation
  • Up to date knowledge on IR35 regulations with focus on the recent changes in legislation
  • Will have extensive knowledge around Payroll, RTI, CIS, Holiday pay, Minimum wage, Auto enrolment Pensions
  • You will be a strong Tax Accountant with the ability to perform traditional Accounts Prep duties

Candidate Specific

  • You will be Qualified - ACA, ACCA, CTA
  • Have the ability to manage a team
  • Desire and potential to oversee all areas of the business
  • Practice background as either a Manager or Senior Manager
