Start your job searchA successful and internationally recognised CFD and FX trading business looking to appoint a Finance Manager to head up their European entity. Reporting into the UK and EMEA CFO, you will have the autonomy to run this function as you see fit.
This is a great time to join a business that is already established in the UK and Australia, and you will play an integral part in their continued growth and presence in Europe.
Working alongside the Head of Compliance and Head of Sales, you will be the only Finance representative to begin with however you will have a remit to hire when the business continues its projected growth.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop a robust, financial controls environment
- Take ownership of client money and regulatory reporting matters to BaFin including the review of the firm's ICAAP
- Prepare and deliver annual budget and forecasts to the ExCo
- Deliver the annual financial statements and ongoing management accounts
- Manage payroll
- Submission of quarterly VAT returns
- Implementation of systems and payment providers
Your Requirements
- Eligibility to work in Germany without Sponsorship
- Fluent in conversing, reading and writing both German and English is essential
- Strong IFRS and German GAAP knowledge
- 3 years' post qualification experience, ideally with a Big 4 background
- Practical application of SQL
- Willingness to roll your sleeves up, take the initiative and work well under pressure
Prior experience within a regulated environment will be sought after
